World of Modified Cars

The rise of modified cars has been the source of dispute, especially in pointing back to their roots. Some people argue that many popular car modifications come from the era of 50’s and 60’s because of the presence of classic and original vintage car rallies. Some others refer to the event of Ace Café London. Every individual can have different of view depending on how far they want to back in time.
However, most people would believe and agree that the birth of the world of modified car as we see today actually started in the beginning of eighties. The launching of iconic cars such as Escort RS Turbo, MK1, Golf GTi, the Peugeot 205 GTi and the Renault GT Turbo made a market of followers who have passion for performance cars that will long last.
Those cars were joined by a Japanese imports’ new raft in the late eighties. This fueled the demand and raised the profile of the scene. In huge number, Toyota, Honda, Subaru and Nissan sold Impreza, Skyline, Civic and Supra. To respond the Japanese influx, European manufacturers make a wave with iconic motors including Peugeot 306 GTi-6, BMW M3 E36, the Renault Clio Williams and the Vauxhall Calibra Turbo.
